Braised Natural Pork Chops with Red Cabbage
Ingredients
- 4 bone in center cut pork
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 small head red cabbage thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Rub both sides of chops with cinnamon and brown sugar. Heat oil in large pot with tight fitting lid over medium high heat. Add chops; cook 3 minutes per side or until brown. Remove chops from pot.
- Add onion and cabbage to pot; stir to combine. Mix vinegar with 3 tablespoons water; add to pot; cook for 3 minutes. Return chops to pot; cover and cook over medium heat 12-18 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Top chops adn drizzle with pan juices.
