Braised Natural Pork Chops with Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 4 bone in center cut pork
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 small head red cabbage thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Rub both sides of chops with cinnamon and brown sugar. Heat oil in large pot with tight fitting lid over medium high heat. Add chops; cook 3 minutes per side or until brown. Remove chops from pot.
  2. Add onion and cabbage to pot; stir to combine. Mix vinegar with 3 tablespoons water; add to pot; cook for 3 minutes. Return chops to pot; cover and cook over medium heat 12-18 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Top chops adn drizzle with pan juices.
