Ed's Roast Recipe
Ingredients
- Use any Roast: Rump, Bottom Round, Top Round, or Chuck.
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup water or beef broth
- 2 cups Vegetables - potatoes, carrots, onions - cubed and peeled
Instructions
- Sprinkle seasonings over roast and place in roaster.
- Brown roast in pan on all sides to seal in juices.
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Leave uncovered for 15 minutes
- Add vegetables and liquid, cover and reduce heat to 300 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. (18-20 minutes per pound of roast for medium rare.)
- Use meat thermometer to test for doneness. Remember the roast will continue to cook after it is removed from the oven.
